The founder of blast: A Learning Sciences Company and an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts are among three new members of a Georgia college's board of trustees, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
"This group of individuals brings a tremendous wealth of experience in education, human resources, and community engagement and promise to help us ignite new levels of innovation and leadership," says Pacific Oaks College interim president Leanne Wruck in a press release.
Dr. Janet Twyman, founder of blast: A Learning Sciences Company and an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts, "brings a wide range of expertise to the Board and further strengthen Pacific Oaks' commitment to early childhood education, social justice, marriage and innovation in teacher preparation," says Wruck.
Kathy Chappell Dossett is a human resources executive who currently serves as executive vice president of Global Human Resources at SKYDANCE Entertainment.
Sydney Williams, a second-generation trustee who attended Pacific Oaks Children's School, is a franchisee of Atlantic Food Company and "brings a wealth of legal expertise and community engagement experience to the board," says Wruck.

Three social enterprises were recognized at the 2013 President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Award for their major contributions to society.
