Education Above All Discusses Role of Innovation in Enhancing Education Outcomes

Imagine a world where every child has access to an excellent education.

That's the goal of the Educate a Child Foundation, a global education organization that's been working to improve education for the world's poorest children for more than 30 years.

But the foundation's work isn't limited to Latin America, the BBC reports.

In Guatemala, for example, the Pies Descalzos Foundation has been using traditional Mayan practices in education for five years.

And in Paraguay, the Educate a Child Foundation has been working with the government to improve teaching methods and infrastructure, according to a press release.

"As our societies grapple with deep-seated economic disparities, under-resourced infrastructure, and a lack of quality education, many are also confronted with the distinct challenges and possibilities of additional adaptation to support necessary education that are essential to usher in sustainable future all," says Mary Joy Pigozzi, executive director of the Educate a Child Foundation.

So far, the foundation's work has been concentrated in Latin America, but it hopes to expand to other regions in the coming years.
