Oregon Community Foundation Completes Record Funding Cycle

Foundation: Oregon Community Foundation

Juliette's House, YCAP and Reach Northwest received grants totaling $66,000 from the Oregon Community Foundation.

The grants are part of a record funding cycle by the Oregon Community Foundation which recently awarded $4.3 million through 190 grants to help severely affected communities.

As part of this work, three local organizations-the Yamhill Community Action Partnership, Juliette's House and Reach Northwest will receive much-needed funding. YCAP officials said the money will enable the McKinville-based organization to hire more employees to distribute more than 400,000 pounds of fresh food directly to rural areas and low-income and migrant housing complexes each year and provide services to more than 3,000 people a week.

OCF Chief Community Impact Officer Sonia Worcel said that after the toughest year on record for nonprofits in Oregon, the spring 2021 grant cycle represents the largest funding request in the history of the foundation.
