If you've ever wished you could take a pill that could fight cancer, the University of Colorado at Boulder may have just the thing for you.
The school is funding the creation of a tablet that could fight cancer as well as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and other neurodegenerative diseases, the Denver Post reports.
According to a university press release, the tablet is being developed by researchers in the university's Translational Genomics Research Institute and will be presented to the university's board of governors next month.
It's not clear how the tablet will be used, but it could be a big help in the fight against Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases, a researcher tells the Post.
"There's a lot of research that's been done on Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases, but they've been done with different methods," he says.
"This is a new method, and it's based on something that's been around for a long time, but it's never been done with a tablet."
The tablet's development is part of a larger effort by the university to fund research and create new jobs, the Post notes.
According to the press release, the university's Innovations for Science and
