A woman in India is in police custody after allegedly dousing eight women with hot oil, including a child, following an argument, the Times of India reports.
Jonali Hazarika Kalita, 32, is accused of beating one of the women and then being warned by a group of other women not to attack her.
"A group of women then scolded Jonali and warned her to stop attacking me," one of the women tells the Times of India.
"Jonali picked up the hot oil-filled pan from the stove and threw it on us, causing severe burns and injuries."
The women were rushed to a hospital in Assam state, where they are reportedly in stable condition.
