The UN's children's agency is teaming up with a tech company to make it easier for consumers and businesses to raise money for children around the world.
Adyen, a payments platform, and the United Nations Children's International Fund (UNCIEF) have launched a global partnership that will make it easier for consumers and businesses to raise money for UNICEF by using Adyen's "Giving" product, which allows them to easily integrate donations into their payment flows, the BBC reports.
Adyen will match donations made through Giving for the first three months of any new UNICEF campaign.
"This allows UNICEF to swiftly provide lifesaving help to children and their families, when and where it matters the most," says UNCIEF's Kitty van der Heijden.
Adyen's chief financial officer, Ethan Tandowsky, adds, "By enabling our merchants and their consumers to seamlessly support UNICEF's mission, we have a unique opportunity to drive significant progress for children worldwide."
