Parents in Milwaukee and Racine, Wis., will soon have more choices when it comes to their children's education.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports on a "multi-million dollar upgrade and innovation plan" being rolled out by the HOPE Christian Schools network.
"The ripple effects of COVID have created major educational challenges for children in cities like Racine and Milwaukee," Dan Depies, chief operating officer of Open Sky Education, which runs the schools, says in a press release.
"We will use the levers of flexibility and exceptional experience to confront the issues of absenteeism and teacher retention head-on in ways that will deliver the best outcomes possible for our students in Milwaukee and Racine."
Among the changes, per the press release, per WISN: a "high-quality HOPE athletic league" and "increasing the art, music, and STEM opportunities."
