McCloskey, a professor of economics and social theory at Harvard, went on to argue that "the world became more liberal after the invention of liberalism in the 1700s, and it can happen again," per Students for Liberty, which posted a video of the speech.
"And what's wrong with that?" asked McCloskey.
"That sounds like a great thing.
