If you've ever wanted your child to have a tablet computer at his or her fingertips, TAL Education may have just the thing for you.
The Chinese company has just released the Mobby Kids' Learning Pad, a large, red paper-based tablet that's designed "to create a sense of love for learning in young minds," according to TechCrunch.
The tablet, which TAL says is "the first content-upgradeable large paper-based learning device," comes with a curriculum that includes "engaging interactive content" and "expert teaching materials."
There's also an interactive learning method TAL calls the "Source Tracing Learning Method," which "encourages interactive feedback, heuristic questions, and repetition to deepen comprehension and critical thinking skills."
TechCrunch calls the tablet "a landmark example of innovation in children's education" that's designed "to create a sense of love for learning in young minds."
There's also the Xueersi xPad Flagship Model, a tablet with its own version of the Source Tracing Learning Method, which "breaks down knowledge into granular units and creates a knowledge map for personalized support," according to a TAL press release.
But TAL isn't the only one jumping on the artificial-intelligence bandwagon: Amazon
