"Stickers have been around for decades and continue to be a trending item with kids and parents alike, but there has been little innovation in the category over the years," Melissa & Doug's senior VP of design says in a press release for the toy company's new Sticker WOW! line of sticker stampers.
"We were inspired to develop something consumers have never seen before while staying true to the Melissa & Doug brand."
That brand is, of course, known for its large- format sticker activity books and wooden stamp sets for kids, and Sticker WOW! offers a "whole new way to play with stickers," per the press release, with 300 pre-loaded stickers in 100 unique designs for "satisfying and surprising stamping action."
Each stamper comes with a 24-page activity pad that helps kids build fine motor and problem-solving skills, as well as drive creativity and character play, per the release.
The sticker stampers are refillable, so they can be easily removed from any surface.
The initial collection includes four characters: a dinosaur, a unicorn, a dog, and a tiger.
More characters will come later in the year.
The sticker stampers are now available on Melissa & Doug's website, Amazon, and at Walmart.
