It's a sign of the times: General Motors will close its IT Innovation Center in Alabama in October, resulting in 900 job losses, AL.com reports.
The center, which employs information technology workers, will be closed by the end of the year, according to a GM statement.
The company says workers will be offered jobs at other locations.
