Dubai-Based Toy Creator and Founder Abdellah Zejli Introduces Innovative Line: Muslim Blocks

When Abdellah Zejli first came up with the idea for Muslim Blocks, a line of educational building blocks for kids, he didn't think much of the religious component.

"I wanted to create a toy that would inspire Islamic cultural exploration for all ages," Zejli tells NBC News.

And he did, with two setsthe Kaaba in Mecca and the Masjid Al Nabawi in Medinamade of more than 367 interlocking blocks.

They're "meticulously crafted," according to a press release, "to allow children and families to explore Islamic culture, history, and architecture while having a blast."

"I am not of the Islamic faith, but when I came across Muslim Blocks, I was immediately drawn to the concept," Zejli says.

"As an educator, I understand the importance of hands-on learning, and these building block sets provide an excellent opportunity for children to explore and learn about another culture."

Muslim Blocks is currently sold out, but a new set, the Al Aqsa Dome of the Rock, is expected to be in stores in September, with proceeds going to charity.
