Parents in Michigan's Thumb region are being asked to help shape the future of child care in the area.
The Thumb Area Child Care Coalition is asking parents and caregivers in Huron, Sanilac, and Tuscola counties to complete a survey that will direct them to surveys looking for input from both child care providers and local businesses, the Detroit Free Press reports.
"We're looking for input from everyone that has a newborn to a 13-year-old child," says Carl Osentoski, executive director of the local Economic Development Corporation.
"Anything participants share in both the survey(s) and any group discussions will remain anonymous and any group discussions will be combined with answers from other individuals sharing their feedback," he adds.
The surveys will be completed by the end of the year.
