"We want all children to have access to the highest quality autism care available, so we are stepping up to build clinics where families have struggled to find providers," says the CEO of Wisconsin-based Caravel Autism Health, which has just opened a clinic in Munster, Indiana.
The company uses applied behavior analysis, or ABA, to diagnose and provide therapy to children on the autism spectrum.
"ABA therapy has the greatest impact during the early developmental years, so we're excited to bring this new resource to young children in Northwest Indiana," Maggie Ealy, clinical director and lead board certified behavioral specialist at the new clinic, tells Northwest Indiana Business Magazine.
Ealy, who has been working with young children since 2005, says the company chose Munster because they look for areas that could use more support.
She says reports showed parents were waiting up to two years to receive service from other providers.
Caravel was founded in 2009 and is owned by the private equity and venture capital firm Frazier Healthcare Partners.
