Children's Hospital Colorado is teaming up with one of Colorado's largest youth soccer clubs to provide a full-time athletic trainerand that's a first for the hospital.
Children's Colorado Therapy Care on Telstar recently opened in Colorado Springs, offering therapy and behavioral health services, as well as a sports medicine program, per a press release.
It's also home to Children's Colorado's new sports medicine program, which "leads our seven-state region in treating young athletes," per the release.
Pride Soccer Club in Colorado Springs will have Children's Colorado's full athletic trainer on-site during practices and games, as well as access to educational content and expert advice.
"We are continually seeking ways to improve child health by expanding our programs and bringing care closer to home to kids in our community, which is why we are so excited to announce this partnership," says Children's Colorado's Southern Region president.
Meanwhile, the city of Colorado Springs has awarded almost $800,000 in digital equity grants to seven nonprofits to help bridge the digital divide in the community.
