The hospital has teamed up with Instacart, an online delivery company, to offer a "virtual food pharmacy," the Wall Street Journal reports.
Patients will be able to order food from the hospital's menu using Instacart's Fresh Funds program, and it will deliver it to them whenever and wherever they need it.
"At Boston Children's Hospital, we're committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in pediatric health and addressing our patient health needs holistically," the hospital's chief innovation officer says in a press release.
Boston Children's isn't the first to offer such a service: Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and Stanford Medicine and UCSF Health have also partnered with Instacart.
