Universal Parks and Resorts is planning a new theme park specifically for families with young children in North Texas, the Dallas Morning News reports.
According to a press release, the new park will be "more intimate and engaging for younger audiences" and will be sized for a regional audience.
"We think North Texas is the perfect place to launch this unique park for families given its growing popularity within this part of the country," says Page Thompson, president of Universal's New Ventures.
The new theme park will be located east of the Dallas North Tollway and north of Panther Creek Parkway.
It will have family-friendly attractions, interactive shows, character meet-and-greets, unique merchandise, and food and beverage venues.
