Cook Children's Hospital in Prosper, Texas, opened last month, and it's already making a splash with its latest addition: a 4K LED video wall with mood-setting that changes based on the time of day, the Dallas Morning News reports.
According to a press release, the wall can also display messaging and will be used in special events to display movies and other content.
"We're grateful to be a part of bringing joy to this important space," says a director at Daktronics, the company that installed the wall with Dimensional Innovations.
The idea behind the video wall is to make it easier for patients, their families, and hospital staff to bond before, during, and after an appointment.
"Offering an immersive escape before an appointment can make an uncertain situation much more manageable for pediatric patients, families, and hospital staff," a Dimensional Innovations rep says in the press release.
