Youth space in Belfast to house children's charities

The Voice of Young People in Care (VOYPIC) and Include Youth are two children's charities in Northern Ireland, and they've just opened the region's first purpose-built space for care-experienced children and young people, the Guardian reports.

"I have no doubt that it will become a thriving hub for participation, training, personal development, peer support, capacity building, and so much more," Robin Swann, Northern Ireland's health minister, says of the space, which was built with government funding.

It's located on a former industrial warehouse in Belfast, and it's intended to help children and young people who've experienced living in care, as well as provide them with the support they need.

"Today's children and young people are tomorrow's adults which will drive our economy and societal wellbeing," says one of Northern Ireland's ministers, per the Belfast Telegraph.
