School Supply Grants from Community Foundation of St. Clair County
Foundation: Community Foundation of St. Clair County
The Community Foundation of St. Clair County wants to help area kids prepare with its annual backpack giveaway event by providing school supplies for kids from low-income families in Port Huron, Capac, East China Township and Algonac.
Juanita Gittings, chairwoman of the Back to School Committee and a member of the Community Foundation's Women's Initiative, said that they are preparing about 2,600 backpacks for this year.
