A brief Q&A format interview between Rob Stein, an assistant superintendent , and a representative of the Aspen Community Foundation on the subject of schools and learning in the area. The interview is done in 4 parts, with the Aspen Community Foundation fielding questions to Rob. The questions begin with what outside of school affects learning, moves on to what the school does for kids, seems to double back in part with what are issue's children face with learning, and ends with a discussion of what is being done to help improve those same issues.
Rob's answers seem to focus on a few things. Outside of school, poverty, healthcare and how early they begin learning. In school literacy, life skills and critical-thinking are stressed. A brief mention of the fact schools can't take care of all these factors is mentioned before highlighting a few programs.
