The Colorado Child Health Research Institute will bring together researchers from Children's Hospital Colorado, the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, and six health professional schools to create a one-stop shop for child health research, the Denver Post reports.

Sokol, the institute's inaugural chief scientific officer.
"From researching conditions in-utero to understanding maternal health to following pediatric conditions into adulthood, our research grows with our patients," Sokol says in a press release.
The institute will have eight major functions, including research strategy and administration, research operations administration, research education, regulatory affairs, research business services, internal grant awards, clinical research contracting, and data science.
