Pressr: Oman Cables Industry and Ministry of Education Commemorate 'Kids in Stem' Graduation

"We firmly believe that by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need today, we are laying the foundation for a brighter and more prosperous future for Oman," Erkan Aydogdu, CEO of the country's Oman Cables Industry, says in a press release.

Aydogdu is referring to the company's four-month-long Kids in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) program in partnership with Oman's Ministry of Education, which has now graduated 130 students from the program.

"This aligns with our vision for creating an education system that is strong, dynamic, and forward-thinking," Dr. Khamis Al Azri, the ministry's counselor for scientific innovation, says in the press release.

Kids in STEM teaches students from ages 1 to 10 hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and math, per the press release.

The program is meant "to inspire future leaders and a world where our children are more than just consumers of technology but also innovators and creators," Al Azri says in the press release.

Kids in STEM is one of three initiatives launched by OCI this year, per the press release.
