Voters in Hannibal, Ill., have approved a $30 million bond measure that will help the school district overcome a $3.3 million budget shortfall, WGEM reports.
Proposition Innovation will allow the Hannibal School District to borrow $30 million in general obligation bonds for a number of projects, including renovations to auditoriums at middle and high schools, improvements to concession stands and restrooms atPorter Stadium, and construction of the Hannibal Innovation Campus.
The measure won't raise the current debt service levy for the district, which currently stands at $1.12.
