When it comes to US News & World Report's annual list of the world's top medical schools, Stanford University comes out on top for a second year in a row.
The magazine says the West Coast's oldest medical school is the best in the world, followed by Harvard, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania.
The top 10 schools: Stanford School of Medicine, 1st; Harvard University, 2nd; Yale University, 3rd; University of Pennsylvania, 4th; Duke University, 5th; University of Michigan, 6th; University of Chicago, 7th; University of California, 8th; and University of California, 9th.
US News & World Report ranks medical schools based on a number of factors, including endowments, research activity, and patient care.
