In Georgia's Gwinnett County, there are 77 communities where resources are in short supply and kids are in danger of not reaching their potential, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
According to the United Way of Greater Atlanta, 22 of those communities are considered high-risk, meaning children are in danger of not reaching their potential due to barriers inherent to where they live.
"Urgent and transformative interventions to improve the conditions of these neighborhoods are needed," the Journal-Constitution quotes a press release from the United Way as saying.
The high-risk communities include Duluth, Snellville, and Suwannee.
