The Las Madrinas, a group of young women dedicated to advancing equity, quality, and innovation in pediatric healthcare, recently honored 34 young women and their families for their dedication to the Southern California community and Children's Hospital Los Angeles during the annual Las Madrinas Ball at the Beverly Hilton Hotela festive evening marking the culmination of a year of service to others.
Elizabeth Williams Shoemaker, president of Las Madrinas, thanked Ball guests for joining the Las Madrinas mission to advance equity, quality, and innovation in pediatric healthcare by supporting the Las Madrinas Diagnostic Innovation Endowment at Children's Hospital Los Angeles.
"This pledge marks the eleventh project that Las Madrinas has financed for the hospital, including over $60 million that have directly impacted the most vulnerable of Los Angeles' children," she said, per the Outlook Valley Sun.
