The Huron County Community Foundation has awarded $75,000 in grants to 18 organizations in the county, the New London Times reports.
"A thriving community here in the county," says McKenzie Spriggs, director of development and marketing for the foundation. "Together we can make a better place for everybody to live."
Among the recipients: Firelands Rails to Trails, $10,000; Huron County Imagination Library, $5,000; Huron County Humane Society, $2,000; Huron County Youth Soccer Club, $8,000; Village of New London, $8,500;CLI Incorporated, $5,000; First Presbyterian Church, $5,000; Art Club, AIM, $1,000; Abundant Pregnancy Services, $2,862; Willard Hope Center, $3,500; Citizens Ambulance Service, $3,000; and Team First Book, $5,000.
