Oregon Community Foundation Administers $41M in Summer Education Grants

The Oregon Community Foundation will administer $41.2 million in state grants going to summer enrichment programs for K-12 students and other summer programs for families.

The grants are designed to ameliorate the impact of learning inequities and other effects of the pandemic.

The investment is an effort by the state of Oregon to address learning inequities and other effects of the pandemic.

The funding from the state of Oregon is split in two programs. $40 million summer learning grants targets community programs for underserved children and families disproportionately affected by Covid.

$1.2 million in grants aimed at families with children 5 years old and younger for parent-child programs with social and learning opportunities and kindergarten readiness programs.
